Wiser Energy told me my HVAC was about to fail

I had an older (16 years) old HVAC system so I set up notifications for when it ran longer than 45 mins, 1 hour and 2 hours. This gave me trending info to see how the unit was struggling during peak cooling season.

Wiser Energy provided the notifications which gave me the trending data. More importantly and independent of the notifications Wiser Energy started reporting the HVAC on coming on for 8 seconds, then immediately off for 4 seconds, then on for 6 seconds. This told me something was wrong and was most likely a bad capacitor. I called my HVAC contractor and sure enough bad capacitor and had my HVAC replaced.
